When Weald Organics was started, we wanted to put together a set of beliefs, rules almost, which every product we created would stick by. This allows us to maintain integrity in both the creation of our products, but in the products themselves.

Here’s a breakdown of what we stand for and why.

We don’t believe in filling our products with a long list of confusing synthetic ingredients, so we keep them all simple, natural and organic.

People buy organic food to make good choices for their diet. We believe this should carry over from what you put in your body, to what you put on your body. Why wouldn’t you want responsible, healthy, and safe cosmetics?

Organic products are created with ingredients which are grown without the use of pesticides or artificial fertilisers. This aids ecological growth and promotes biodiversity. Whereas conventional farming techniques have been damaging our environment.

Part of the organic ethos is being sustainable. What goes into our products is sustainable, so we must package them the same way.

To do this we use always use the minimum amount of packaging possible. This means no unnecessary outer boxes, leaflets or wrapping which just gets thrown away. We use glass and aluminium because they are commonly and repeatedly recyclable.

Our promise is as our business keeps growing we will keep finding new ways and initiatives to reduce both the carbon and overall ecological footprint we all make, and the waste which is sent to landfill.

We only use the best quality ingredients, and they’re always organic. By doing this, we’ve picked what’s best for your body, not our bottom line.

We’re all becoming aware that how you interact with a product is increasingly more important. Now more than ever, we are understanding our personal impact on the environment. So, we only use high quality, yet still responsible, packaging for both our products and its postage to you. Everything is fully recyclable.

All our products are handmade in small batches. This allows us to ensure the highest quality every time and reduces waste. By employing this hands on approach, our team handles every step – from blending the raw ingredients to packing and shipping your finished products to your door.

We only use certified organic ingredients, which adhere to The Soil Association’s COSMOS standards – which include no Animal Testing, no GM ingredients and no Parabens or Phthalates to name a few.  We are already voluntarily compliant with these standards, but are working towards becoming a certified “COSMOS Organic” producer ourselves.

Although our raw ingredients are grown all around the globe, Weald Organic’s goal is to source as many of them as possible from growers and producers in the UK. This is part of our goal to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible, and therefore yours too.
